FAQs

  • We work with businesses, startups, nonprofits, camps, outfitters, ranches, and purpose-driven organizations across the U.S. who want thoughtful, strategic design without agency fluff. From ranches and outdoor brands to wellness companies and educational programs, our clients all share one thing in common — a desire to grow authentically.

  • Every project is custom-quoted based on scope, deliverables, and timeline. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter packages — instead, we listen first, build a plan, and provide a clear quote before any work begins. Our example projects on the pricing page give you a realistic sense of what to expect.

  • Start by filling out the Project Inquiry Form or booking a free discovery call. We’ll talk through your goals, budget, and creative direction, then send a custom proposal with clear deliverables, pricing, and a timeline.

  • We design primarily in Adobe Creative Suite create templates in Canva, build websites through Squarespace, Shopify, and Wordpress and manage client communication through your personalized Apollo & Pep Client Portal. Everything is organized, branded, and easy to access.

  • Yes! Most projects are split into two or three milestone payments to make budgeting easier. Larger projects or retainers can be customized based on your needs.

  • À la carte projects are one-time design or marketing needs — like a brochure, social media graphics, or an event flyer. You send your request, we quote it individually, and you get polished deliverables on a clear timeline.

A retainer, on the other hand, is an ongoing partnership. You reserve a set number of design hours or projects each month and get priority scheduling, consistent creative direction, and a go-to designer who truly understands your brand.

  • At the start of each month, we review your upcoming needs — like seasonal promotions, website updates, or content design — and map out what will be completed. You’ll receive regular progress updates, clear timelines, and access to all your files in your client portal. The retainer renews automatically each month, with flexibility to scale up or pause as your workload changes.

  • Pretty much anything visual or communication-related — from print design and web graphics to brand collateral, campaign materials, photography, and content strategy/content. We can design social templates, pitch decks, digital ads, packaging, event signage, and more. If it tells your story visually, we’ve got it covered.

  • Absolutely — many clients start with one or two à la carte projects and move into a retainer once they see how much time and consistency it saves. Retainers are completely flexible and can grow with your business.

  • Every retainer is customized, but most include a mix of:

    • Priority access to design time

    • Monthly strategy and planning call

    • Design and content creation (print + digital)

    • File organization and delivery through a shared portal

    • Optional add-ons like photography editing or social media support

You’ll receive a clear breakdown before starting, so expectations and deliverables are crystal-clear.

  • Retainers are typically set for three or six months at a time, but can be renewed, adjusted, or paused as needed. We want this to feel supportive and sustainable — not restrictive.

  • Apollo & Pep specializes in small businesses, startups, outdoor brands, ranches, nonprofits, and creative organizations — but we love variety. Our focus is on purpose-driven work that blends storytelling, strategy, and strong design, regardless of industry.
